Snowbot S1 is the model for public testing, and Snowbot S1 Pro is the retail version. We upgraded almost every part of the S1 to S1 Pro, by providing more stable performances and adding more intelligent, user-friendly functions including automatic recharging.
Snowbot S1 Pro can handle an area of a 2-3 car garage driveway. It provides up to 1.5 hours of battery life on a full charge (or cleans 1500 sq ft with 5 inches of deep snow). Duration can vary depending on snow stickiness and wetness. Besides, with the docking station, the Snowbot S1 Pro can return to charge itself automatically so as to work day and night continuously.
It takes 2-3 hours to charge, and there is one battery in Snowbot S1 Pro. Charging time depends on the environment temperature. Besides, with the docking station, the Snowbot S1 Pro can return to charge itself automatically so as to work day and night continuously while it’s snowing. There's no need to worry about the battery being dead.
The Snowbot S1 Pro can be operated from -20℉ to 104℉ (-30℃~45℃).
No, the charging temperature of the lithium-ion is from -13℉ to 104℉ (-25℃~45℃). Besides, Snowbot S1 Pro has its own charging station and it will automatically return for recharging if needed.
At present, Snowbot S1 Pro is mainly designed for residential use. Snowbot for commercial use is in the timeline of our future plan.
Yes! Snowbot S1 Pro can work on ground with a maximum gradient of 10 degrees.
Grass or dirt ground both are OK, but it needs to be flat.
Yes, Snowbot S1 Pro is built with a 360° rotating chute that can throw the snow away in any direction. After the snow throwing direction is designated, the chute can adjust the direction intelligently at any time to ensure the snow is being thrown to the designated area. The throwing distance is up to 20 feet (about 6 meters ).
With laser radar and anti-collision sensors built-in, Snowbot S1 Pro can detect and bypass obstacles or unknown objects of all kinds such as people, and stationary objects in its path. In addition, Snowbot has a reliable security system. You can press the emergency button to stop the machine immediately. But we strongly recommend using Snowbot under supervision. Keep a safe distance when you or your family are operating it.
The positioning beacon will enclose a zone where Snowbot is able to know its own position. After comparing and revising the enclosed zone with Google Map, you can customize any shapes of your preferred cleaning area via the integrated map within the enclosed zone.
We plan to add this in Snowbot S1 Pro. Ideally, we want Snowbot S1 Pro to go after the snow starts to fall, and go back to charging if it has a low battery. In this way, people's driveway could stay forever clean, and Snowbot won't have to handle too much snow if the snow was cleaned before it piles up.
In the beta model Snowbot S1, the default shape is a rectangle generated based on the position beacons. In the retail version S1 Pro, other than a standard rectangle shape, a circle and any other shapes can be customized when you set the autonomous cleaning plan.
